The Rutles didn't succumb, however. With the release of All You Need Is Cash on VHS and laserdisk through Michael Nesmith's Pacific Arts in 1983, and the enthusiasm of the small but dedicated core of fans that had been there from the beginning, the popularity of The Rutles began to grow.
